The Sony Xperia R1 Plus features a 5.2-inch TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 282ppi. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Cortex A53 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU for multitasking and graphical requirements while gaming. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and offers an internal storage of 32GB that can further be expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Sony Xperia R1 Plus sports a 13MP camera sensor that delivers good quality images, something Sony is known for. There is also an 8MP camera sensor on the front for capturing selfies and video calling. On connectivity front, there are 4G, VoLTE, 3G, 2, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C support and much more. It is backed by a 2620mAh battery that delivers decent photos.
The Sony Xperia R1 Plus gets tough competition from the Nokia 6, Gionee A1 and the Vivo V5s in terms of price and specifications.

The Sony Xperia R1 Plus is an upgraded version of the Sony Xperia R1 and is a mid-range offering from premium smartphone manufacturer. It has a decent display and camera setup. However, the battery backup is not up to the mark and it does not even support fast charging. It is the second cheapest smartphone from Sony.
