Gionee S6s - Overview
The Gionee S6S features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The multi-touch 2.5D curved capacitive display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor coupled with 3GB for lag-free multitasking and Mali-T720 MP3 GPU for graphical requirements. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and there is a fingerprint sensor for security reasons. The device offers an internal storage of 32GB and an internal storage of 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
In terms of optics, there is a 13MP camera sensor on the rear that has an aperture of f2.2 along with other features including LED flash, autofocus, Exymor-RS CMOS Sensor and a range of modes including HDR, Panorama, Magic focus, Face Beauty among others. There is also an 8MP front camera sensor for capturing selfies and video calling. On connectivity front, there are dual SIM, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, dual band Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 support and much more. The Gionee S6S is backed by a 3150mAh battery that is capable of delivering a talktime up to 23 hours and 400 hours of standby time.
The Gionee S6s gets tough competition from the Nubia Z17 Mini, Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Vivo V5 Plus in terms of price and specifications.

The Bottom Line
The Gionee S6S is an upgraded version of the Gionee Elife S6. It is better than its predecessor thein many ways including better display. Camera is also an improvement and the fingerprint sensor has also been added to the security. In other words, given the price as low as this it is a nice phone to buy.
