The latest buzz in the rumor mill is that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 may get unraveled before Xiaomi’s flagship device the Mi 7, which was expected to get released at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event, by the end of February 2018. Furthermore, it is also speculated that the Xiaomi MEE7S and MET7S devices, which recently received the 3C approval in China will be the two variants of the Xiaomi RedmI Note 5. This speculation is based on the fact that the devices with similar appearing model numbers like Xiaomi MEE7 and MET7 are the two variants of the device Redmi 5 Plus. It is important to note that this handset is one of the most awaited devices from Xiaomi and the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is quite aware of this fact.
Redmi Note 5 Specifications
The Redmi Note 5 might carry a nano-injection molding antenna design integrated with metallic chassis and a 5.99-inch FHD+ resolution screen of 18:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Note 5 might follow the trend by embracing a dual camera setup as well as facial recognition sensor and become the first handset from the Redmi Note series to have a dual camera. The primary camera could be 16-megapixel, while the secondary camera could be 5-megapixel with a selfie camera of 8-megapixel. It is also expected that the Redmi Note 5 will carry MIUI 9 flavored pre-installed Android Nougat Operating System.
