Dual SIM iPhones Could Be A Reality Next Year; Apple May Introduce Three iPhone X Like Phones Next Year

Apple launched the Apple iPhone X and the world went crazy about it. There were incidents of people travelling to other countries to buy the phone instead of the waiting for it to launch in their own country. And now, there are reports that Apple will be launching three phones in 2018 as well. The information was shared by KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kou. Some fresh reports by Nomura, a Japanese securities firm which claims that the Cupertino-based firm will be releasing two OLED iPhones and one LCD iPhone in 2018.

First spotted by GizmoChina, Nomura claims that LCD display iPhone which is expected to launch in 2018 will feature an edge-to-edge design similar to the iPhone X. There will be a single camera setup on the rear and is also expected to come with FaceID feature. The price of this phone is expected to price between $650 and $900. The display on the phone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch tall TFT LCD display.

The OLED phone will reportedly come with a 5.8-inch display and will come as a sequel to the iPhone X. The phone will come alongside another OLED phone which will be the “Plus” model of the 5.8-inch iPhone. Both the phone s will be similar in terms of specifications like dual SIM support and 512GB storage, and will differ only in terms of display size. The “Plus” model is expected to come with a larger 6.5-inch display.

The Nomura further reports that all the Phone will ditch the TouchID sensors and will come with rear mounted 3D sensing camera. The infamous “notch” that was introduced on the iPhone X will come in these phones as well. It states that rear mounted 3D sensing camera will provide TrueDepth camera and will also allow the firm to bring AR support on iPhones.

The low-end LCD device out of the three will be assembled by Pegatron and possibly Wistron. The other two phone are expected to be assembled by Foxconn. The Nomura claims that ti garnered the information on 2018 iPhones through supply chain surveys and all of it will be finalised by first or second quarter of 2018.
