Huawei Shipped More Than 100 Million Phones In First Three Quarters Of 2017

You must have read that the Huawei overdid Apple to become the second biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world in the month of June and July. Sounds surprising? Indeed, but what is even more surprising is that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer shipped more than 100 million devices in the first three quarters of this year, as reported by the Android Authority.

Huawei has amazed the world with impressive growth in the market globally. The Huawei Mate 10 series launched by Huawei is said to be on of the best smartphones in the market with bezel-less design and dual camera setup. Not to forget the first ever AI powered Kirin 970 processor. The DXOMark gave the Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera a whooping 97 points that is just one point lesser than the Google Pixel 2 camera.

The company is not ready to give up just yet and there have been reports that Chinese manufacturer could possibly introduce a foldable smartphone next year. The CEO of the consumer group, Richard Yu told Android Authority that it is not only gunning to surpass Apple, but Samsung too, “We will overtake them definitely. That’s our destiny. Maybe I’m not humble … but nobody can stop us.”

The amount of devices sold by the company is impressive and the most amazing fact is that the company is experiencing 19 percent year-on-year growth in the first three quarters. The stats clearly reveal that the company is growing rapidly. The reason could be the beefed up efforts by the company to appeal to the customers in the mid-tier and flagship levels of the phones. Another reason could be the increased number of outlets by 19 percent bringing it closer to 42,000.
