Alcatel U5 HD To Launch Soon With Android 7.0 Nougat

Nokia owned phone brand, Alcatel is set to introduce the Alcatel U5 HD with Android 7.0 Nougat. The new iteration is basically an upgraded version of the Alcatel U5 which was launched at MWC 2017 earlier this year. The upgraded variant is expected to be introduced at the upcoming IFA 2017 to be held in September in Berlin. The main highlight of the updated smartphone will be the operating system which is now Android 7.0 Nougat.

There are other upgrades too! The new Alcatel U5 HD now has an 8MP primary camera compared to the previous 5MP one. The front camera is now a 5MP unit instead of a 2MP. Both cameras will be offered with LED flash while the front one would also get HDR, EIS, Instant Collage, Face Mask, Face Show, Selfie Album and Face Beauty. Another change is the slight bump in battery capacity from 2,050mAh to 2,200mAh. It is claimed to give a standby time of up to 200 hours and talk time well over four hours.

Specifications

Specifications would remain the same for the phone with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with end user memory of just 3GB. That means a user can only store up to 3GB of data on the inbuilt memory. Fret not in case you have been waiting to buy one as the Alcatel U5 HD has an expandable memory slot as well. This would give you an additional memory of up to 128GB.

Other Features

In terms of connectivity, the Alcatel U5 HD will have 4G LTE with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and other options available at the expected price. Speaking of the price, the Alcatel U5 is available for Rs 6,975.55 plus additional taxes through grooves-inc.com. Considering that it is a minor update, there would be a slight premium over the current version’s retail.
