It comes with WiFi-AC, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and not one but 3 USB Type-C ports among various connectivity features. Also, there is a 3.5mm jack on the device, and you get a 4,000mah battery with support for 20W fast charging.

In the graphics department, you’ll find a 6-inch 18:9 2160×1080 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90GHz and HDR support. Talking about the camera, there is a 12MP + 8MP shooter on the rear side and an 8MP on the front.

To cool down the device, when it’s processing heavy workload, there is a copper heat chamber and a 3D vapor chamber. For extra cooling, a fan accessory can be attached to the ROG Phone.

An exciting accessory Asus has developed is the TwinView Dock which adds a second screen identical to the ROG Phone. It can give game developers more space, for instance, when displaying maps, inventory, and other stuff.

If you want to go the old-school way, Mobile Desktop Dock turns the ROG Phone into a PC by adding a full-sized keyboard, mouse, 4k Monitor, 5.1 channel sound system, Ethernet, etc.

There is more. With support for 60GHz WiFi-AD, gameplay on the device can be streamed on a display connected to the WiGig Dock base station.

Asus says the ROG Phone will be available this summer in 128GB and 512GB variants. The price details are yet to be known.

The LG Q Stylus is part of South Korean company’s expanding Q series, which also includes the recently launched LG Q7, Q7α and LG Q7+. The LG Q Stylus follows on the design guidelines of LG V-series, and features a metallic unibody chassis. The smartphone is now IP68 water and dust resistant, and comes with MIL-STD 810G compliance as well. The smartphone also switches to USB Type-C for fast charging.

In terms of specifications, the LG Q Stylus features a 6.2-inch FullVision display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and taller aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz or 1.8GHz depending on the market. The Q Stylus comes in three variants that differ in terms of memory. The LG Q Stylus and Q Stylus α come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the Q Stylus+ comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

They also come with different camera setup. The LG Q Stylus α gets a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera. The Q Stylus and the Q Stylus+ feature a 16-megapixel main and option between 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera.

The LG Q Stylus runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 4G LTE, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Q Stylus also borrows support for DTS:X audio found in the V and G series for a 7.1 channel surround sound experience.

“The LG Q Stylus adds another dimension to our series of exceptionally-priced mid-range phones that deliver amazing value to consumers,” said Ha Jeung-uk, senior vice president and head of LG Electronics’ Mobile Business Division.

All three variants will be available in Moroccan Blue color, but the Q Stylus+ will also be available in Aurora Black and Lavender Violet colors. The Q Stylus will be available in Aurora Black color as well. LG says the Q Stylus will launch on a limited basis starting this month in North America and Asia. The availability will be followed by other key regions like Europe in the third quarter.

According to Apple, iOS 12 is “designed to make everyday tasks” more responsive. The company said with iOS 12, the camera launches up to 70 percent faster, the keyboard appears on screen up to 50 percent faster, and that typing will be more responsive. Apps can launch up to twice as fast, Apple added.

Now, in a video posted on YouTube, iOS 12 has been compared to iOS 11.4 both running on the iPhone 8. Do note that this is not a stable version of iOS 12 and instead is the first developer preview. Loading times were significantly faster on iOS 12 when stock apps like Camera, Apple News, and Apple Music, and even third-party apps like Sonos, Amazon, Apollo were opened on both phones put side-to-side. Even heavy social media apps like Tweetbot, Instagram, and Facebook loaded faster on iOS 12 despite it being a beta update. App Store was an exception as it opened up faster on iOS 11.4 than the one on the iPhone running iOS 12.

Interestingly, according to the video, iOS 11.4 was also faster while loading games like Flip Master and Voodoo. The uploader observed that native apps tend to open much faster on iOS 12 than do third-party apps on the new software.

As for loading websites on the preloaded Safari browser, the results were mixed with some of them popping up first on iOS 11.4 and the other ones loading up faster on iOS 12. Geekbench scores were, however, where the real difference was. The tests saw about a 5 percent jump in single-core and multi-core scores in iOS 12 compared to its predecessor.

As iOS 12 is supported on all the devices that support iOS 11, iAppleBytes got hold of an iPhone 5S, the oldest iPhone to support iOS 12, and put it to the same comparison. The unit running iOS 12 Beta 1 booted up slightly faster than the one running iOS 11.4. App load times and keyboard pop-up speeds were once again faster on the former, both for native as well as third-party apps. App Store was, however, snappier on iOS 11.4. Overall, the latest and oldest smartphones to run iOS 12 Beta 1 had better performance over the last stable update. 9To5Mac even polled several users on Twitter and received mostly positive responses, with users comparing iOS 12 Beta 1 to stable versions of iOS 11 across iPhone and iPad models.
