Xiaomi already reached the milestone of being a second largest smartphone manufacturer in India just below Samsung in terms of market share. Now, Xiaomi has launched the Mi Exchange programme in India, in an attempt to boost its existing domestic sales. The company has partnered with Cashify to allow interested customers to exchange their existing smartphones with the new Xiaomi smartphones

The new Mi Exchange programme, customers will have to visit a Mi Home store as the service is available only through Mi Home stores. There are 11 Mo Home stores in India across Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. Customers can return their old smartphones at the Mi Home stores. The Cashify team will then determine the value of your old phone and then offer a suitable amount that will then be deducted from the new Xiaomi device.

Xiaomi, while announcing the new programme, said, “In collaboration with Cashify, we have introduced a new programme – Mi Exchange which lets you exchange your old smartphone for a new Xiaomi smartphone. What you need to do is simply bring your old smartphone to a nearest Mi Home.”.

Xiaomi has recently launched 11 Mi Home Stores in India and it has announced that it will be coming up with 100 more stores in next two years.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has entered the Indian market three years back and now it has become the second largest the smartphone vendor recently. The company started its sales with online flash sales and now the company has started focusing on the offline channels to expand its sales.
