Highlights
- Vodafone to offer cash back worth Rs. 1500 on Galaxy smartphones
- Subscribers need to get a recharge done of Rs. 198 every month to avail the offer
- Offer was originally designed for Micromax Bharat-2 Ultra
The offer of getting a cash back can be availed by the existing and new Vodafone prepaid and postpaid subscribers if they purchase the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro, Galaxy J7 Max, and Galaxy J7 Nxt. Previously, Vodafone also had a tie up with China’s Transsion Group-owned Itel Mobile and Gurugram-based Micromax to launch similar cashback promotions with their devices.
There is a process that needs to be followed to avail the cash back; the Vodafone prepaid customers need to get a recharge done of Rs. 198 per month, for 24 months. This recharge will provide them with unlimited voice calls and 1GB data per day. For the postpaid subscribers, they need to opt for any one of Vodafone’s Red Plans. At the end of first 12 months, Vodafone will offer a cash back worth Rs. 600, while after another 12-month period, a cashback worth Rs. 900 will be provided, making a total of Rs. 1,500.
It should be taken into notice that Vodafone will only credit the cash back amount to M-Pesa Wallet. Hence, if the subscribers wish to attain this cashback, other than using the network of Vodafone, they will also be required to use this particular mobile wallet for the period of 24 months.
The benefit that would be gained is that with the effective use of the Vodafone cashback, the prices of the Samsung devices would go down as following- the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes at an effective price of Rs. 6,990, with its market operating price (MOP) as per Vodafone at Rs. 8,490. The Galaxy J7 Nxt will be available at an effective price of Rs. 8,990 (MOP Rs. 10,490), while the Galaxy J7 Max will be available at an effective price of Rs. 15,400 (MOP Rs. 16,900).
