UPDATE: Xiaomi Launches “Desh Ka Smartphone” Redmi 5A With A Discount Of Rs 1,000 To First 5 Million Customers

Days after Manu Kumar Jain teased the launch of ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ in India, the date of launch of the mysterious phone Xiaomi has now been confirmed. The phone the will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting from November 30.

To recall Reliance Jio launched JioPhone, “India Ka Smartphone” at an effective price of Rs 0. Customers have to make a deposit of Rs 1,500 at the time of purchasing. With which we can assume that the new offering from Xiaomi could be a budget smartphone.

Desh Ka Smartphone

The information comes from Flipkart that teased that Xiaomi will launch the new ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ exclusively on Flipkart. The device is expected to come with an extraordinary battery backup. The device is also listed to provide better multitasking.

However, there is no information regarding the specifications other features of the device as it has not been listed yet. The earlier tweeted teaser of the phone also did not reveal any specification or even name of the smartphone. It is also not sure that the device belongs to the Redmi, Mi or a whole new smartphone series.

Desh Ka Smart Solution

Speculations have it that the device is most probably going to be Xiaomi Redmi 5A that has already been launched in China at a price of CNY 599 (roughly Rs 5,800). The Redmi 5A features a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The processor is aided by 2GB of RAM for multitasking. The internal storage offered by the device is 16GB that can further be expanded. The phone sports a 13MP rear camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture and on the front there is a 5MP camera sensor.
