Sony India unveiled the latest addition to its mid-range family, Xperia XA1 Plus today. Sony is among leading premium segment smartphone manufacturers in India. The Xperia XA1 features a 23MP rear camera, 5,5-inch FHD display and will cost a premium of Rs 24,990. It will be available in Blue, Black and Gold colours.
The Xperia XA1 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 401ppi pixel density. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC coupled the 4GB of RAM and Mali T880 MP2 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat out of the box. The device offers 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256Gb with the help of a microSD card.
On the camera front, the Xperia XA1 Plus sports a 23MP Exmor RS sensor and hybrid autofocus camera sensor on the rear with a wide angle f/2.0 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with 23mm f/2.0 aperture lens on the front. The camera is capable of capturing low-light photographs at an ISO 3200.
All of this is backed by a 3230mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 2.0+. The company said in the release, “The Sony XA1 Plus is designed to ensure a long lasting performance over the smartphone’s lifetime. Stamina Mode extends the battery lifetime just when you really need it, whilst Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology and Battery Care work together to maintain the long-term health of the battery by monitoring its health and adjusting the charging current accordingly to avoid damage and maximise its lifespan. Adding to the swift performance is Sony’s Smart Cleaner which automatically deactivates unused app and clears the cache to give you the fastest, most optimised performance. Entertainment lovers and multi-taskers alike will love the all-day battery and power-efficient performance.”

Although the Xperia XA1 Plus comes with the same old design that we see in Sony smartphones, battery life is surely an improvement. The company will also launch its flagship device, Xperia XZ1 on September 25.
